1. United Way Role : To organize and support the long term relief effort as it affects Northeast Missouri
   
   
2. Work actively with the newly re-organized "Unmet Needs" committee to meet the needs of the evacuees coming to our area
   
   
3. Adding a disaster response component to the Week of Caring events by adding donation drop boxes to all sights of volunteer activities. Personal items and gift cards collected will them be given to evacuees relocated to our area
   
   
4. Encourage donations to the Disaster Response Fund through the United Way of America at www.unitedway.org or through the United Way of the Mark Twain Area web page tab link at www.unitedwayNEMO.org
   
   
5. Assist local collection efforts to appropriate distribution points in the areas devastated by the storm.
